Associate Scientist/Scientist/Senior Scientist

This position is a combination of laboratory work and collaboration with external partners.

Responsibilities and Expectations are as follows:

  • Design, execute and conduct cell culture-based studies towards the discovery and development of novel drugs.
  • Participate in the production and quality control of RNA nanoparticles.
  • Develop disease relevant cell-based assays.
  • Assist in grant writing and preparation of presentations to stakeholders.
  • Stay current with respect to new and relevant technologies through reading scientific literature, etc.
  • Superior attention to detail when recording and analyzing data.
  • Maintain well-organized laboratory notebooks as per Company guidelines.
  • Effectively present results and data in meetings, both internally and with external collaborators.
  • Work efficiently with external partners and CROs to develop, execute and interpret data resulting from research projects.
  • Work alongside colleagues and senior leaders to deliver set goals and objectives of the Company.

The successful candidate must have the ability to accomplish the above tasks in a collaborative manner, with minimal supervision.

Candidate Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science with 6-8 years of experience or Master of Science with 3-5 years of experience obtained at a Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CRO. Ph.D. in Virology, Cell and Molecular Biology or a related discipline with 0 to 1 year of postdoctoral experience.
  • Must have been a part of a formulation production team or preclinical drug discovery and development program and demonstrated strong expertise in assay development, in-vitro and in-vivo assay design, development and conduct.
  • Be proficient in mammalian tissue culture, molecular cloning, electroporation, virus titer evaluation, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence microscopy, standard protein biochemistry and molecular biology techniques.
  • Show aptitude for problem solving and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
